What’s Elle Been Up To?

Hello and Happy New Year! I know I’m late but not technically because it’s still January. 🥰 I hope everyone had a fantastic holiday last month and I hope the new year is starting out promising for you!

So far 2025 has been okay for me. The weather here had been colder than usual and we even had snow last week, which is very unusual for us who lives near the coast. I mean even Florida got some snow! Of course now that’s all cleared up and it’s supposed to be 76 degrees today with rain. Yep, that’s the winter weather I’m used to.

But enough about that…

“What’s Elle been up to?” Well, I’m happy you asked because I have been exercising all my creative hobbies like writing, crocheting and gaming lately.

When “Wisteria” was released back in October, I was a busy bee promoting, managing and all those wonderful things indie authors get to do. Yes, I did those things prior to the release but it spiked afterwards. At the same time, I was on a writing binge for Azalea while outlining and researching. But once December rolled around and I took vacation from work, I chilled on everything.

I took a break from writing and started back crocheting. I gamed while I was on break and may have slightly got off my health regimen. I wanted to enjoy the last few weeks of the year without any schedules or to do lists. Just me doing whatever I wanted to do when I wanted to do it.

January comes in and now vacation is over but I’m still chilling. I’m still crocheting, still gaming but I’m getting my healthy regimen back on track because that’s important to my overall well-being. I’m proud to say in the last four months I’ve lost twenty pounds and with all my holiday indulging, I didn’t gain anything back. A reminder to please take care of yourselves my loves. Get your checkups and prioritize your health.

As far as writing, I did a little of that also. My draft chapters for Azalea have been longer than what I normally allow for chapters and I’ve been working on some of my other works I would like to release in the future. I’m not the kind person who writes on a schedule or pre-plans. I just do it and get it done.

Though I did say that Azalea will be released (fingers crossed) in 2026, there is another project I was hoping to publish this year. Don’t get me wrong, I’m working to finish Azalea this year and start that wonderful editing process, but I also want to introduce other works I’ve completed. I want to be able to put it out this year. If you are interested in what I’m looking to bring to you in the future, check out my blog here, to get the inside scoop.

There is another venture I’m working for Wisteria, and I’ll bring you that news soon! 😎

All in all, writing is and will always be my number one passion but I missed my other interests as well so I’m giving them some love. Perhaps one day, my dream will come true to be a full time writer, and then I will be able to have a whole day of doing the things I love best.

With February around the corner, (like tomorrow) it’s time for me to refocus, reconstruct and reconnect with my plans for the year. Perhaps that’s why I felt compelled to write this on an overcast, promise of a rainy day Friday. Rainy days are my favorite for writing.

So yeah, that’s what Elle’s been up to! Remember to follow my socials and keep up with me there! I don’t post a lot and yeah will work on that, but me and social media…well that’s a subject for another blog. 😂

I hope this post finds you well and happy! Thank you for your support and for being you. Remember, smile always, kindness is key and love unconditionally. ❤️
