My Loves!
I know its been a minute since I’ve last blogged, but things have gotten so busy since I’ve released Wisteria! It’s a good busy and it’s teaching me a lot about time management, and when I say teaching that means me learning that I have none. π
But, as I am sitting here on this beautiful Sunday while my husband yells in the background about football, I attempt to drown him out by working on Azalea, the second book in the Sun and Moon Wolf series.
By the way, I want to take this time out out to send a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who has purchased and read Wisteria! The book has received some great positive feedback and it makes me super motivated to work on Azalea. Especially since, well you know, the ending *wink*. Readers will be on the edge of their seats waiting for a response, so I am working diligently to give you what you want!
One of the ways I can do that is to spoil you a bit and give you details about the series and some of the characters.

Let’s talk about Wisteria.
First, this book is named after the small town the story takes place in and the inspiration behind the name is simply because these are my favorite spring flowers to bloom. There is a tree in my yard that has a huge vine of Wisteria wrapped in it and every spring and I stand near it for minutes smelling the sweetness of this flower while keeping away from the bees that love it too! One of these days and would love to wrap the tree completely and have my own Wisteria tree.
As you know, this is my debut series as a independent author and the first book was released on October 14, 2024. I like to think of Wisteria as the introduction book. You meet the main characters and side characters who are involved in this conspiracy between the wolves and the fairies. You also get to see the romance between Ivy and Ezra and throughout the series, you will see how their love evolves.
Now, I know as an author we shouldn’t have favorites, so I won’t tell you mine. But, there are certainly a variety of characters in Wisteria where you can choose to be yours.
So let’s meet them!
In chapter two of the book you will meet: Chess, a history teacher at the local academy. Micah, which I’m not sure if this was written plainly in the book, but he works at a pharmacy. This why you may hear him say something along the lines of: ” I can give you something to lessen the edge if you like.”. Marian, our sweet and cherry haired color baker who owns and operates Piece of Sweets. Knox, fearless Alpha of the Wisteria pack and owner of Howl’s, local pub in Wisteria. Last but not least, Wyatt, native to Jasmine City but has a family home in Wisteria. These are your Wisteria wolves.
Now I have a complete profile of the characters I have written in my notes, but I will share those with you at a later time.
Let’s meet some other characters!
Ronan and Ambrose Castle, Ivy’s father and brother. Her father is mayor of Wisteria and Ambrose is her little brother who attend Jasmine City University.
Ava, the library supervisor who is, well…she’s just is.
Harabelle, Knox’s wife and one of sweetest citizens, besides Ivy, you will ever meet.
Idalia, Ivy’s flirty and fun loving best friend.
Mabel, local teacher in Wisteria, friends with the Castles.
Layla, Wyatt’s cousin and a young wolf who also attends JCU.
I mention these characters because you will see them throughout the entire series. Each of them have a part to play, so remember their names.
Last on my character list is Chasma. My beautiful multi-color hair queen Chasma. Yes, Chasma is definitely one character you will enjoy reading about. She’s just awesome and the friendship she and Ivy will develop over the series is priceless.
I don’t want to say too much about the story, but Wisteria will set the tone of events later to come.
Let me know in the comments whose your favorite character in Wisteria!

In the second book Azalea, you will meet new characters and get to see Ivy’s development after Wisteria. You also will learn a little more about the wolf attack in Azalea, the treaty involving the wolves and fairies, also Ezra and how he became a wolf. In this book, we also get to know a little more about Atlas Hawcan, the vampire living in Azalea and a bit about his family. Some of you may have met Atlas already in Wisteria and if you haven’t yet…well, he’s there.
Like the Wisteria tree is located in the central park of the town, Azalea has its roots in the Azalea Botanical Gardens. (Little spoiler for you πΊ)
Another exciting element about Azalea is there is a mystery involved..ooooh. So, with that being said, please allow me to introduce a new character, Ipadia Edaleia. Ipadia is a lieutenant in Legis, which is what the police are called in Nanthus. She is a resident of Azalea, but she’s a native to Berdes, which is an island in the Southern Isles (There will be a later blog highlighting the makeup of Nanthus and it’s regions). Ivy teams up with Ipadia who takes on cases involving non humans. Her commander, which I won’t name in case their name changes, is aware there are things in their line of work that can’t be explained, so that’s why Ipadia’s job exists.
I think of the commander as being human-ish and I will leave that there.
I know there was a teensy, tiny mystery in Wisteria, but it was more focused on Ivy and what she learned about the small town. The mystery element in Azalea is more complex and its one of the reasons why I set a release time of 2026 for this book. There are about ten more chapters in Azalea than Wisteria and I want to make sure I cover all the bases. The mystery in this town is intense and I often say this book is a little darker than Wisteria (I describe Wisteria as fluffy fantasy). Azalea has been called a beautiful town with a dim past and this perfectly describes the town and its aura.
Let me know in the comments what you are excited to see in Azalea!

The third book set to take place is Icarea which will give you a look at what’s going on the realm. You will learn more about Avo (pronounced Vo, the “A” is silent. I know, weird) and his status in the realm and also learn the truth about what really happened in the betrayal between the wolves and the fairies. Icarea is the fairy realm, and fairies in Nanthus are like angels on Earth. The fairies are benevolent and cultivate good and positive energy in Nanthus. Seeing their home and the effects of it will give you more insight of their world, or what’s left of it.
Now, I don’t want to talk too much about Icarea because it is in the works and I don’t want to mention something that doesn’t make it to the final draft. It is currently being outlined while I work on Azalea, and the outcome of what happens in Azalea will lead to the story in Icarea.
There are a lot of questions that need answers and Icarea will be the place where the answers are found. Ivy will find out what she wants to know about her mother and you will also learn what really happen to land before Wisteria, Azalea and Jasmine City existed.
Let me know in the comments what you would like to see about Icarea!

Okay, so here is where I struggle. I’ve been unsure about if I want Icarea to be the last book in the series, or have a fourth book which would be titled Jasmine City. There will be lots of decisions based around how Ivy will save the fairies and Icarea, but I’m not entirely sure where the conclusion will take place.
Decisions, decisions.
Jasmine City, is the biggest out of the two other towns. It’s the home of Jasmine City University, where Wyatt, Layla and Ezra lived. The city has a capital-like vibe where government is more prominent there and also, more magical beings live in Jasmine City and there maybe a little of their struggle in the existence.
There will be mentions in Azalea about the changes going on the regions of the world, and Jasmine City kind of has some ties to it. Like Icarea, I don’t want to mention much because I don’t know what will make it in the final draft, but KOTAS will be involved and the possibility of the conclusion of the series could take place here. Remember, the wolves were attacked her, so this place is important t to the series.
If the conclusion doesn’t take place here and Ivy does what she needs to do in Icarea, I can write a novella of Jasmine City because I plan to do this for another region of the world. But nothing is set in stone. Once Azalea is finished and Icarea is completely outlined, more details will be given on what’s next.
Tell me in the comments what you would like to learn about Jasmine City!

So, that’s the lowdown on the Sun & Moon Wolf Series! I think I did really well not to give too much away because there are LOTS more to come! Lots of intrigue, romance, betrayal and unpredictable pairings to happen in this series. I can’t wait for you all to get caught up in this world like I am!
Love Always & Happy Reading
EL
